About Us

We are Ryan Taylor and Andrey Kostylev (RTAK) Consulting and our story began working with the Natural Resources of Canada performing seismic registration on contract. During our time at NRCan we found that thousands of kilometers worth of seismic data were being stored in databases and storage rooms. Thousands of kilometers of collected seismic data that could help researchers and businesses alike study the North American coastal seafloor and geology. Unprocessed data from Companies, Academic Institutions, and Government Organizations have the potential to shine light on geologic head scratchers, show untapped resources, and even help identify viable sections of continental shelf for safe renewable energy construction. Together with our combined skills and experiences we set out to provide a service that brings the seismic data of the past into the future. By digitizing seismic data collected over the last 60 years we are making it faster and easier to study the coastal shelf, helping researchers discover and businesses to grow.

  • Andrey Kostylev, P.Eng.

    Co-Founder, Chief Operation Officer

    BSc Bio-mechanical Engineering, MSc Space Science

    Andrey is a Project Manager, overseeing GIS and data collection operations. He has 3 years experience doing seismic registration. Andrey has over 10 years of engineering work experience in specialties such as computer programming, structural design and renewable resource technology.

  • Ryan Taylor

    Co-Founder, Lead Consultant

    BSc Geology, Diploma of Mineral Resource Engineering

    Ryan has 3 years of experience digitizing seismic data and 2 years working in the Mining Exploration industry. Technical skills include 3D modelling, GIS, and remote sensing.
